Noctua unveils NF-A12x25 G2: A next-gen 120mm fan built for excellence

Noctua has officially released the NF-A12x25 G2, its new flagship 120 mm fan designed to deliver top-tier cooling performance with whisper-quiet efficiency. As the successor to the highly acclaimed NF-A12x25, the G2 takes everything great about the original and refines it even further, offering enhanced airflow, reduced noise levels, and better performance under pressure.

Built using Noctua’s proprietary Sterrox LCP material and maintaining a precise 0.5 mm tip clearance, the G2 version introduces a host of aerodynamic upgrades. These include the new Progressive Bend impeller with winglets, Flow Acceleration Channels, and a Centrifugal Turbulator Hub, all working together to maximise efficiency and reduce turbulence.

According to Noctua CEO Roland Mossig, the original A12x25 set a new bar for 120 mm fans, and the G2 now pushes it even further. The same motor and aerodynamic improvements seen in the larger 140 mm NF-A14x25 G2 have been adapted and refined for this model, ensuring class-leading results across various scenarios.

Its newly designed etaPERF motor with Smooth Commutation Drive 2 ensures ultra-low energy loss and quiet performance.
